About Me

My name is Brooke and I am a doctoral student and moreover, I am a passionate animal lover and the previous dog mom of Bunny who was my rescued pitbull.

I come from a family that has rescued over 7 dogs from shelters around the U.S., including my past fur baby, and I am experienced with dogs that are undergoing chemotherapy and in palliative care. I am experienced caring for dogs with anxiety and trauma with people and other dogs, including dogs with reactive behavior. I have practiced basic behavioral training for dogs based in positive reinforcement (I do not believe in punitive practices). I have collaborated to families to develop healthy and safe relationships with their dogs, including working with family members who are autistic, neurodivergent, children, and people who have trauma with dogs. I have also rescued and fostered kittens from Mexico to California. I would absolutely love to spend a week (or more!) with your dog!

P.S. I am avid runner and one of my favorite activities is going on runs with a dog by my side!

Let me know if you are interested, and I would love to connect.

Here you can review my CV.
